Understanding the different lifestages of your pet is important. Watching your pet grow from that cute fluff ball you brought home to your retiring best friend is extremely rewarding. Like us humans, our pets have different life stages. Dogs and cats have 3 main lifestages: kitten / puppy, adult and senior. Each life stage has its own needs and development both mentally and physically. Proper nutrition that suits the development of our beloved pet is highly desirable. Antos also has a recommended snack or treat for each stage of life.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR PET’S LIFE CYCLE

The most crucial stage of growth is the puppy/kitten stage. Young puppies and kittens rely heavily on their mothers for everything. As they pass the 8 week old mark, the young fluff balls find themselves leaving the comfort of their mum (and siblings) to come into our live. We usually take in our pet dogs and cats at 8-10 weeks of age. They are then in the first stage of their life cycle. The nutrition for young puppies and kittens is really important to grow up strong, happy and healthy. Enjoy each stage and cherish every moment with your beloved pet, because adulthood is coming soon.

EVERY STAGE OF LIFE HAS ITS OWN NEEDS

Besides the 3 life stages puppy/kitten, adult and senior, we can specify this even more and add about 2 life stages. After the kitten and puppy phases comes the adolescence stage. This usually starts after 6 months; everything that has been learnt is forgotten again and the training treats from Antos can be a great help to get your beloved pet through this phase. When your dog or cat is then an adult, he/she can enjoy dog snacks and cat treats as a tasty snack, to satisfy chewing needs or to stimulate in sports. The senior life stage usually starts after 7 years. This is where age-related ailments can develop, for which Antos also has snacks to keep your pet physically and mentally healthy.
